Notice of the Conclusion of “CASSETTE WEEK JAPAN 2025”
日本開催が今年で節目の10年を迎えた｢CASSETTE WEEK (旧Cassette Store Day)｣は、10月13日(月・祝)のWPÜ SHINJUKUでの｢カセット・マーケット｣には国内外から推定約500名、10月16日(木)の渋谷WWWでのアニバーサリー・ライブには300名を超えるお客様にご来場いただき、大盛況で無事終えることが出来ました。
今年の日本開催にエントリーいただいた作品は65タイトルに上り、米国を始め海外ではさらに同数のリリースが行われました。
イベントにお立ち寄りいただきましたご来場者の皆様、エントリーいただいたアーティストの皆様、ご出演いただいたバンドメンバー・DJ及びスタッフの方々、ご出店いただきましたショップ様・メーカー様、多大なるご協力をいただきました皆様、心より感謝御礼申し上げます。

This year marks the milestone 10th anniversary of Japan hosting “CASSETTE WEEK” concluded successfully with great turnout. Approximately 500 attendees from Japan and abroad visited the “Cassette Market” at WPÜ SHINJUKU on Monday, October 13th. Over 300 guests attended the anniversary live event at Shibuya WWW on Thursday, October 16th.
This year's Japan-hosted releases received entries for 65 titles, with an additional titles released overseas, primarily in the United States.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees who visited the event, all artists who entered, all band members, DJs, and staff who performed, all shops and manufacturers who participated, and everyone who provided tremendous support.

Cassette Week(Cassette Store Day)の歩み
「CASSETTE WEEK (旧Cassette Store Day)」は音楽メディアとしてのカセット有用性を呼びかける世界同時開催の年次イベントで、趣旨にご賛同いただいたアーティストによるカセットテープでの一斉リリースが10月第3週に行われます。
2013年に英国・ロンドンでスタート後、欧州やアメリカを始め、アジアなど世界的な規模に成長。一時は世界的なパンデミックなどにより開催見送りや規模縮小を余儀なくされましたが、2021年からアメリカのCASSETTE WEEKが後継イベントとなり、英国でもCASSETTE WEEK UKとして再スタート。欧米のみならず、台湾やインドネシアなどアジアにおいても開催のカセットテープの祭典です。
日本では2016年から公式にスタートしており、節目となる10年目の今年は様々な企画が予定されております。70〜80 年代に⽀持を集めたマクセル ブランド「UD」シリーズをオマージュしたカセットテープや新たなカセットプレーヤーが発売されるなど、日本でもカセットブームが続いています。
Cassette Week / Cassette Store Day Japan 事務局は、皆様のカセットリリースを公式サイトやSNS・プレスリリースなどを通じて、グローバルにも拡散いたします。日本のレーベル・アーティストの方々のみならず、近隣アジア・パシフィック地域からのご参加も歓迎いたします！
HISTORY
CASSETTE WEEK (formerly Cassette Store Day) is an annual event held around the world to promote the usefulness of the cassette as a music media, and artists who support this purpose will release their titles simultaneously on cassette tape during the 3rd week of October. Since its launch in London, UK in 2013, the event has grown to a global scale in Europe, the US and Asia. Although the event had to be postponed or scaled back due to the global pandemic and etc, CASSETTE WEEK in the US will become the successor in 2021. In the UK, the event will be re-launched as CASSETTE WEEK UK, and will be a week-long cassette tape festival held in Europe, the US, and Asia.
In Japan, the event officially started in 2016, and various projects are planned for this milestone 10th year. The cassette boom continues in Japan, with the release of new cassette players and cassette tapes that pay homage to the Maxell brand “UD” series that were popular in the 70s and 80s. Our Japan office will spread your cassette release more globally than in previous years through our official website, SNS and press releases. We welcomes not only Japanese labels and artists, but also those from the neighbouring Asia-Pacific region!
開催概要
ご賛同いただいたアーティスト・レーベルの方に公式エントリーしていただき、10月第3週に向けてカセットテープでの限定リリースを行っていただきます。事務局はプレスリリース・公式サイト・フライヤーなどで参加作品の告知掲載いたします。レコード店様には公式ストアとして登録していただき、エントリー商品をセレクティブに販売していただきます。加えて、カセットウィークに向けてインストア・POP-UPなど様々なイベントを展開していただいております。
また、多くの⽅にカセットの魅⼒に触れていただきたく ｢カセット・マーケット｣を会期初日のみ開催します。会場には約20社のレコード店・ストアにより、国内外カセットテープやアナログメディア、カセットプレーヤーの展示販売が行われます。
会場に設けられるCASSETTE WEEKブースでは、エントリーされる作品の委託販売(手数料無)も可能！ カセットテープ製作前でもエントリー可能ですので、多くの方が来場されるリアル店舗にて、プロモーションの一環としてご活用いかがでしょうか？
参加要綱
公式エントリーの参加は無料。シングル・アルバム問わず、複数タイトルのエントリーも歓迎します。新譜のみならず旧譜や復刻盤、コンピレーション、デモテープ、トーク、ライブなどの音源やカセット関連商品も可能です。発注いただいた公式ストア、独自流通・限定会場・店舗及びオンラインなどで販売していただけます。

OVERVIEW
Artists and labels who agree to participate will be asked to make an official entry and release their titles exclusively on cassette tape for the 3rd week of October. We will post announcements of participating titles in press releases, official website, SNS, etc. Our Japan office is also planning to host a LIVE event and a market-style event which was very successful last year. Additionally, "Cassette Market" will be held on the first day with the aim of introducing many people to the appeal of cassettes. About 20 record stores and retailers will be exhibiting and selling domestic and international cassette tapes, analog media and cassette players at the venue. At the CASSETTE WEEK booth set up at the venue, you can also sell your products!
CONDITIONS
Participation in the official entry is free. Entries of multiple titles, both singles and albums, are welcome. Not only new releases but also old releases, reissues, compilations, demo tapes, talks, live versions and the related cassette products are allowed. You are free to sell your items in the official stores (if ordered), your own distribution, limited venues, shops and online.
